Data collected by the Espion software can be analyzed using Microsoft Excel, MatLab, and other such programs. For bulk data exporting, see Bulk eXporter Software.
To Export Data:
1. Utilize the Export function after loading old test or immediately after collecting new data by pressing the Export button on the bottom right of the test window.
2. The Export window will appear and yield several export options. Choose which data you would like to export. The most popular selections are Data Table and Marker Table.
- Data Table - export individual data points along each waveform trace. This is ideal for re-graphing the data. When using this export function, select which Data Columns to include; these can be Contents (column headers), Results, and Sweeps (all individual traces which average together to form results). Most users prefer to Export Data Tables with Contents and Results only.
- Marker Table - includes a table of the the timing and amplitudes of the biomarkers.
- Stimulus Table - explains the stimulus parameters per step
Note that Separator should be Comma for export to Excel files, and Tab to export to .txt.
3. To select a save destination, click on the Browse button. Once you've clicked Browse, you will find a window prompting you for a save destination, file name, and a desired file type. You can save the exported data anywhere, a pre-made folder for data is recommended either in your documents or on the desktop for easy access. File Types can be either a .txt for a text editor version of the data, or .csv for a version that can be read by Microsoft Excel.
4. Finish the export by selecting Export.
